Newborn Photo Sessions can be something that is stressful. I am here to help you by giving some tips that will hopefully make the process easier and help you all look amazing. You can always email or text me and ask any questions before your session.
Love,
Maddie
First things first, you'll need to book your appointment. Your session should be scheduled anytime between 48 hours after your baby is born to 2 weeks. It is best to book your session ahead of time, try scheduling a tentative date when you are in your 3rd trimester, then once the baby is born, confirm with your photographer. When scheduling, talk to your photographer about your vision.
Before your appointment be sure to keep your baby awake for a while. This will insure those sweet, sweet sleepy baby photos. Try feeding baby 20-30 minutes before your session, this will help them fall asleep easier and be less fussy. Collect all the outfits, and anything else significant and set them aside. This will help the photographer to have everything laid out. Also make sure to prepare a bottle just incase.
Alright mama, this is your time to sit back and relax! I like to start with just baby, this gives you time to chill out. After I like to involve the family for lifestyle photos. Down below I will include some tips on how to best dress for your first family photos.
I know this might seem intimidating right after birth, but let me assure you, you won't regret it!
After your session you will receive a few sneak peeks to get you excited about what is to come. Later that evening or the next day your will receive your gallery to chose your photos for editing. Once chosen you will receive your photos one to two weeks later. You will receive high-resolution digitals, the best quality for printing.

Alright mamas, I know it can be difficult to step away from that sweet precious little nugget! But rest assured I am more than capable of taking care of them. I have been a nanny, preschool teacher and in hospital newborn photographer. I have been trained to handle babies from hours after birth, and am also infant CPR certified. I love snuggling with the little ones.
I'm so excited to photograph your Newborn session! I hope you are getting excited too.
